Saturday Adventures! Art studio, OOTD, Feeding Horses + Walkies!

Saturdays are usually spent a little bored, around the house or going in to town which isn't very exciting either. Today for a couple of hours we had great fun though! As the years have gone by, our family has become more and more busy so we don't often get to spend time with each other during the day.

After nearly three months of moving to my new home, I finally got to explore the area today. I've driven around the area but it's never the same when walking. Before we left, my brother randomly decided to light candles in his garage turned art studio! It's coming along really well and we had a mini photoshoot haha... :)

Here is a quick look at Usama's garage turned art studio... You will probably notice the candle obsession!

Then my dad came in and we had a spontaneous photoshoot!

Added this for the lolz =P

Love my dad <3

I love the faces my brother pulls! Makes me laugh every time!

What I am wearing:

Headscarf: Really old but probably from Accessorize
Neck scarf & Purple faux leather jacket: New Look. I didn't realise how warm it was so ending up taking my jacket off 5 minutes in to walking!
Top: Zara
Skirt: H&M
Shoes: Carvela

That's a dragon that my brother drew on his wall by the way!

After our random photos off we went walking and feeding the horses.

We also spotted this epic little pathway so decided to check it out. It lead to some nice fields so we had a great time adventuring and exploring the area!

 Capturing some deep moments! Hehe...

I hope you're all having a great Saturday too : )

Feeling nostalgic... And confused!

Since college has started recently I have been thinking more and more of the future. It's hard making decisions about your future when you don't know much about yourself, I'm still trying to find out who I am, what am I doing with my life and which direction I want to head into?

I've just started my last final year of college. And this overwhelms me... I feel like I am growing up too fast and sometimes I just want to be that innocent child who didn't have to worry about grades and what to do with life..

It's funny how when I was younger, I couldn't wait to grow up and not have anyone to 'boss me around' haha... But now all I think it's sad how I just don't want to grow up.. Taking responsibility, making decisions for my future.. I'm scared of regretting the decisions I will make because I am still confused about the person I want to be. Does anyone else feel like this?

I know a lot of people who are dead set on what they will be doing after college.. Taking a degree in this and that but me... Over the past year I have changed my mind about 20 times. I don't know if I want to take a gap year... I don't know which uni to go to or what to study... I know these aren't the biggest issues in the world but sometimes I just feel lost, like theres no place for me anywhere... I feel like I'm not academic but I'm not very creative either, I'm just stuck in the middle, an average Joe who gets average grades, not anyone significant.. I can't wait for the day for when I'm finally happy with what I'm doing!

This picture here was taken just over 10 years ago, so I was just 7 years old! My brother was probably about 6. Fast forward to the present day and we are now both college students! My brother just started his first year at college which is crazy! My two older brothers are both working and no one in our family is at school anymore! I'm turning 18 in December which means I'll be closer to 20 than 10! When I think of it like that I feel overwhelmed, scared yet excited to see what the future holds.

Is anyone feeling the same? I just feel like I'm at a rather awkward stage in my life and I just have no clue what to do....

Would You Rather Tag - Beauty Edition!

Hey guys!

Today I felt like doing something a little more relaxed.. Blogging can take a while, sifting and sorting through pictures takes a while so today I'm taking a step down and just unwind after the first day of college! I thought this would be fun also

Here we go!

1.Would you rather go out with messy hair and nice make-up or Nice hair and no make-up?

I'm going to cheat here and say I would go with messy hair and nice makeup because I wear a headscarf, so that could cover my messy hair, right!? ;P
But that being said I do hate the look of messy makeup....

2.Would you rather shave your eyebrows or have your eyelashes fall out?

Oh gosh! Erm... I would say have my eyelashes fall out because have you seen those pics that circulate around Twitter with different celebrities photshopped with no eyebrows!? Makes you realise how significant eyebrows are, it just looks wrong without them!

3.Would you rather be forced to shop at only MAC or Sephora for the rest of your life?

Haha I would love to be 'forced' to shop! I would say Sephora because of the variety.. I like MAC but only their eyeshadows / blushes mainly. But unfortunately there are no Sephoras here in the UK although it is online... But I would still go with Sephora! :D

4.Would you rather wear lipgloss/lipliner look or 80's perm?

Haha I guess I could cheat here and say I could cover up the 80's perm with my scarf!? :P

5.Would you rather leave the house with an obvious foundation line or overdone blush?

Oh wow, both look pretty horrendous! But I would go with overdone blush because I could just say I have a rash! XD When I was younger I had really pink cheeks, the doctors said I have Slapped Cheek Syndrome! Obvious foundation lines are just awful..

6.Would you rather wear MC Hammer pants or biker shorts in public?

MC Hammer pants for the win, baby! Hehe.. I don't think biker shorts would be a great look with my headscarf XD

7.Would you rather have a bad orange-y spray tan or really weird tan lines that can't be covered?

Weird tan lines! I really hate the look of fake tanning gone too orange, It's not a great look in my opinion..

8.Would you rather have a bad haircut or bad hair colour?

Bad hair colour! Because the colour can always be changed, whereas when you get a bad haircut its not always the easiest to fix!

9.Would you rather have youtube or twitter taken away forever?

I would rather have Twitter taken away! I love spending my lazy time on YouTube watching the SacconeJolys, Pixiwoo, Essie Button, FleurDeForce, PewdiePie & of course my lovely MissTHewitt and lots of others. I'm subscribed to quite a lot of people! Sometimes Twiter annoys me!

10. Would you rather give up using makeup brushes or mascara?

I would rather give up makeup brushes! Although I loooove collecting them I think makeup can be applied without them even though I love using brushes, but I would still want to wear mascara. I like the way it completes an eye look!

Thanks for reading guys and let me know some of your answers to these questions!

Back to School / College Tips + Haul!

Hey guys!

So September has rolled around which means schools and colleges have started again here in the UK. I know some of you may have already started but I thought I'd do a quick post about my first year at college and a few tips to help you get through yours!

Yesterday, I went shopping with my brother and I spent way more than I intended to! I stocked up on a lot of winter clothes and supplies for school. I may do a separate winter clothing haul so look out for that!

Anyway, I wanted to share some things I bought with you because it may or hopefully will help any of you out there and a few tips that I have learnt from my personal experience of my first year at college!

Staying organised -

I bought some of my stationary from Paperchase and a few bits & bobs from Tiger. I also got these cute folders from Accessorize. You don't have to buy fancy folders if you don't want to but I think its cool and makes my workspace look better, so its a better way for me to stay organised. I think its a female thing where you buy pretty things that make you more motivated to do your work... (Please tell me I'm not the only one, hehe!)

From Paperchase I got a couple of refill pads. You may want to stock up on these because you will go through a hell of a lot of paper!! I'm not sure about other colleges but at mine, we don't tend to use exercise books - rather paper and folders.

I bought this 'Padfolio' from Paperchase. I've never seen anything like it before - it has a clipboard at the front and inside it has a refill pad, which is removable and a pocket for other documents. I thought this was a really clever idea especially if you only use paper! They also had a few different styles.

It can also be quite annoying to ask other people to borrow their things so I always check how much paper you have left and your pens / pencils also :

Homework organisation:

Last year I bought a planner, which I never used! Throughout my first year of college, I didn't write my homework down and when I did I wrote it at the back of my refill pad which I never looked at so I often (not all the time!) ended up doing my homework very last minute!! Sometimes an hour before the lesson started! So this year I don't want to make the mistake and you shouldn't either! ; )

I got this cool planner from Paperchase, I know a planner can be quite 'school-ish' but even using a diary just to jot your work down is fine.

I've also found To-Do lists really handy recently and I just make them in a little diary I purchased from Tiger for £2!

College is a fresh start, so don't be afraid to make new friends and enjoy yourself : ) I have met some awesome people over the past year and like college a lot more than I did school (hated school...)

Thanks for reading guys, I hope this helps.
Good luck to everyone starting a new school / college / university or even job!

A few days in London with Tayyibah!

Hi guys!

I've just got home from spending an awesome few days with my lovely friend Tayyibah in London. I took the train down on Saturday morning and I got in to London in the afternoon.

Tayyibah has started a YouTube channel which is super exciting - You can check it out here, so after a couple hours of frustrating editing and uploading, the Q&A vid was finally uploaded and we headed out, taking the bus to Camden.

Camden Town is a part of London I have never experienced before, I've heard a lot of the markets there so I was excited to check it out! It was quite overwhelming, the amount of people there and the overall vibe was cool! There certainly were a lot of characters! The shops were very quirky, with huge shoes attached to the top of the buildings - it was insane!

We browsed the markets for a while, I spotted a few cool jewellery stalls that I was interested in but I came back with a cute dress from a store called Lily-J (may do an OOTD with that soon)

We also visited this amazing store called Cyberdog, it was dark with neon flashing lights and pumping music! Unfortunately we weren't allowed to take pictures in there but we did take pics with the huge robot and it makes me laugh how this lady just casually photobombed Tayyibah's photo heheheh....

After hanging around Camden for a few hours we took the Tube to Tottenham Court Road and stopped for sushi at Wasabi.. We also vlogged a little in there so check out Tayyibah's channel to see that. I think it may be uploaded towards the end of the week!

We ended the day at home with hot chocolate / tea and a late night movie - Daybreakers which was somewhat gory and disgusting but overall pretty good!

DAY ii:

After getting up at 10 it took us a couple of hours to decide what to do.. We did think about visiting the National History Museum or Madame Tussauds but instead we hopped on the tube down to Holborn and from there we had a helluva awesome journey walking around Central London.. (Be proud of me Tayy for using 'helluva' lol)

Starting from Holborn, armed with a DSLR in hand, we started walking to Convent Garden. Tayyibah is building up her photography portfolio so the photos were mainly focused on architecture and such..

At Convent Garden we stopped at Laduree and I bought some of their world famous macarons for my little brother who has been talking about them for a while! My god, are they heavenly, my favourite is the chocolate flavour!!

Tayy's awesome photography!

After browsing Convent Garden we walked to Leicester Square, passed the M&M store.. the smell was just beautiful! Taking in the sights, vlogging and photo taking we walked down Piccadilly down to Hyde Park corner, Buckingham Palace and strolled through Green Park, we were blessed with beautiful weather! The sun was shining so it was a great day for London adventures!

If anyone has been reading since last year you may remember Tayyibah and I went to the Trocadero last year!

We bought lunch and sat in Trafalgar Square to rest our feet (my feet were killing but Tayyibah was still going strong! Perks of climbing Ben Nevis!!). I love the atmosphere around Trafalgar Square, its so chilled and amazing.

We vlogged a little, took more photos and I sat in the crowd and played 'Where's Wally' or in this case.. Wheres Mary!? Hehe.. Can you spot me?!

From Trafalgar Square we went up to Southbank and admired the views of Big Ben and the London Eye... It was so chilled and ahhh amazing, I'm missing the vibe already, just writing about it!

We also spotted the Snog frozen yogurt bus which was pretty cool..
At this point my feet were almost dead haha.. So we walked in to The City and took the tube from Bank to Oxford Circus. It was around 7pm and probably the quietest I've witnessed Oxford Street. Most of the shops were closed but we stopped at Costa (of course!) to relax and then headed home...

The day was finished with the movie Grown Ups which was pretty hilarious!
Today was my last day in London, we chilled around the flat and I helped Tayyibah film a video for her YouTube channel so watch out for that! I also got a high five from the cat which was awesome hehe!

Thanks for reading, I know this was a long one!

Don't forget to check out Tayyibah's Youtube channel and send her lots of love ; )
