What's In My Makeup Bag?

First I show you whats on my iPhone (previous post) & now you get to see what's in my makeup bag!
I'm really letting you guys in to my life aren't I? ; )

My makeup bag is this cute little red leather Anya Hindmarch pouch. It looks small but surprisingly it holds a lot! I keep this on my desk and it carries my everyday essentials whilst the rest of my makeup is stored away so there's less clutter on my desk.

Into the makeup bag..

FACE products:

  • Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow Highlighter
  • MAC Satin Powder Blush in Supercontinental
  • Nars Multiple in Palm Beach
I don't wear foundation or concealer on a regular basis so I just slap these three products on my cheeks!

Eyes:

  • Maybelline The Falsies Volum' Express - loving this mascara at the moment - great if you love volume.
  • Chantecaille double ended eyeliner pencil in Espresso - I only use the angled eyeliner brush end for my two gel eyeliners
  • Tarte emphasEYES Amazonian clay liner in Green - This is a beautiful Khaki green liner that I'm loving at the moment (Thanks Tipeen for buying this for me!)
  • Maybelline Black Gel eyeliner - I use this on my waterline, if I don't carry this in my makeup bag then I just have a plain black eyeliner pencil
  • Bourjois Liner Feutre - Nice and basic inky black felt tip liner
Lips:

  • YSL Volupte Sheer Candy no.7 - I love this, it's a sheer light red colour, the consistency is so smooth like a moisturising lip balm. The only downside is that the lasting power isn't great.
Hope you enjoyed reading :)

What's on my iPhone?

Hey guys!

This is going to be a little bit random as with most things on my blog but I thought it would be cool to share with you what apps I currently have on my phone. I have the iPhone 5 and the background is just a default one but I love it.

And just to let you know also I don't have the most amazing apps - I try not to pay for a lot of them but there are a few cool ones that I think (hope) you will find interesting

Anyway - the first 'page'. This is the standard, boring page but I hardly use these apps - mainly the camera and messages app.

These apps I don't use often so I won't go in to them in too much detail. As you can see I'm pretty lazy when it comes to updating the apps, so the App Store has 28 notifications for me!

On the bottom row I have the important apps, so phone, email, Safari internet and Whatsapp which are probably the most used along with social networks.

Second page....

Starting from the top row left to right:

(I'm just going to go through the ones that need explaining, some are self explanatory!)

Find iPhone: This is a handy app made by Apple that allows you to locate your phone when you have lost it. Use your Apple ID and sign in from a different device and it will show you where your phone is and can even make a sound so you can find it - FREE

Find Friends: Allows me to see where my friends are - FREE

Echofon - This is an alternative app for Twitter which I prefer. The ads are annoying and the notifications don't always come in straight away which is also annoying but I prefer the look of it to the official Twitter app. FREE although there is a no ad payable version.

Instagram: Need I say anything? Follow me if you don't already! ;P @m4ryam

InstaSize: Isn't it frustrating when you have an awesome picture but Instagram refuses to show all of it!? This app 'instasizes' your picture so it fits on to Instagram. Very handy. -FREE

Afterlight: I use this to edit my pictures for Instagram. It was £0.69p but very worth it as there are so many options/filters/lights.

Mobile Banking & Pingit: If you bank with Barclays these two apps are extremely handy for staying on top of your bank account - FREE but you must contact your bank to register.

Flappy bird: Oh, its the infamous game that I refuse to delete. Every few days I go back to it and frustrates me every single time (highscore is 81 )  -FREE

7 min workout: Quick 7 workout app that I downloaded a few months ago and still haven't tried - £1.49

PAGE 3

Shazam: Handy to find a song you like but you don't know what it's called -FREE

Free video - When I want to download vines from Facebook I use this app, very glitchy and annoying with ads but does the job. FREE

MyFitnessPal - I don't use this often to be honest but it's good to track your calorie take-in. FREE

UniDays: Awesome app for students! It's free and allows you to redeem offers from a lot of shops. FREE

What Diff? : A spot the difference game which is frustratingly addictive but I've given up on it FREE

Picfx - Another amazing photo edit app - £0.69

Dream Talk - For 69p you can download this for the full version. This app records you in your sleep, but will only record when it detects sound. When you wake up simply listen back to all the weird noises you make while you sleep! This is great if you want to have a good laugh at yourself!

Depop: A little marketplace for buying / selling / exchanging. I bought my camera from Sian Shutterbug on Depop a few months ago.

Page 4.. Phew, we're getting there! I love you if you're still reading this far..! ; )

Plants vs Zombies and Zombie Kill - two addictive zombie games!

Make a Meme - I like making memes of my friends/family and this app is handy to take the mick out of them ; )

Movie Tube: This app has a wide range of movies available to watch instantly which is awesome for procrastinators like myself!

If you've read this far thanks for taking the time out! Let me know if there's any cool apps you think I should download.. : )

London Day Out

The last time I had been to London was October last year so a trip was definitely overdue! My mum is off to Dubai with her sisters, so we went down to London yesterday for the day and I returned home on the train by my lonesome self. How I wish I also could've caught a flight to Dubai!

Here is what I wore for the day. I don't trust the British weather so opted for something cosy but not too warm.
Dress: Asos
Jacket: H&M
Jeans: New Look
Shoes: Carvela

I had a fabulous day. Our first stop was Koya in Soho. Koya is famous for its noodles, but what did we have? Rice! I can't complain though - it was amazing! We shared a plate of 'fish and chips' and this isn't any old fish and chips! The chips are thin, like crisps and were served with a delicious vinegary sauce, dip thing.

We shared the fish and chips between us and then had a 'Ten Curry Don' each. Let me tell you - it is beautiful! I can just taste it in my mouth as I write / think about it.

The ten curry don is a (very) large prawn tempura served with rice, curry sauce and miso soup (which I didn't even touch). If you are in London definitely check this place out!

After a delicious lunch, we walked around the streets of Central London and made a quick stop at Liberty before heading off to my Aunty's flat for afternoon tea.

Sorry, London was so busy (as usual) it was difficult to spend a good amount of time getting some good pictures. This was literally a 'snap and go' moment as there were people everywhere.

Liberty had this funny display at the back of the store - Carnaby Street. Do you recognise these three celebrity easter eggs? XD

On to the afternoon tea.. I think it was the food and seeing my aunty after ages that made the day really special. My aunty baked some madeleines and scones and we sat down and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of her amazing new flat!

Those madeleines were heavenly!

Clotted cream and jam for the scones... yummy!

I drank pink lemonade - delicious! My mum and aunty had their herbal teas..

I'm hoping to be back in London for the day on Tuesday, when my mum gets back..

I can't wait already... :)

My Perfect Nude! -Tom Ford 06 Abandon-

If you don't have a clue about beauty or just have a very dirty mind then you probably won't know that the title of this post suggests that I'm talking about a lipstick colour... not anything else you had on your mind!

Anyway on to the lipstick! ;P

This is the oh so wonderful Tom Ford's nude lipstick in 'Abandon'. I could never justify the price of these lipsticks but luckily my lovely momma passed this down to me and I love it! Nudes are difficult I feel, especially for my skin tone, I'd never been able to find one that didn't make me look washed out or concealer lip-ed (except for a Lipstick Queen one :P)

It is a lovely peachy beige colour with no shimmer, but leaves a sheen on the lips - not too shiny, yet not too matte. I love the consistency - it's creamy and moisturising. I'd say its in between a lip balm and lipstick, not as moisturising as a normal lip balm but not as dry as your average lipstick. The only downside to it is the longevity, it will need constant application throughout the days, I'm not one to re-touch my makeup throughout the day (tramp and proud ;P) so the longevity does bother me a little. It is one of those lipsticks that you wouldn't need a mirror though, just whack on and you're good to go!

Lastly to comment on the packaging, how can you ever go wrong with Tom Ford packaging? It's looks great, feels great and is generally very luxurious.

Here it is in all its glory!

Haha.. I was obviously very happy while taking these pictures! :P

As you can see on the lips the colour transfers as very natural, here I wore it with a 'dramatic' eye. I just did a quick smokey eye using the UD Naked2 palette and the nude colour suits it perfectly.. :)

Hope you enjoyed reading

Very Bazaar!

Hey guys!

On our way to paperchase for art supplies, my brother and I got sidetracked by this little shop called 'Very Bazaar' - a little boutique located on Silver Street in Leicester's city centre. It was the awesome displays that drew us in to the shop. The shop is very 'hipster', selling everything from incense sticks to cushions, throws, jewellery and even ganja lollipops! We spent a good half an hour in there bemused by the quirky items they had.

We left the shop with a handful of bracelets...

I separated the three bracelets in the picture above so you can see how each bracelet looks like. I love how all three of them look together. The middle bracelet is real leather as I can actually smell it! Each bracelet ranged from £3 to £4 each.

They had some gorgeous, exquisite jewellery too but was sadly out of my price range.

I'm sure I'll be back in there soon!
