Throwback Thursday #1

Hey guys!

I thought it would cool to start this new series on my blog, rediscovering old pictures and discussing them!
I found this one yesterday and this is so embarrassing to share with you but it's too funny not to!

Some of my friends may remember this picture as I shared it on our group on Skydrive.

Here I am aged 13/14!

Oh my God!! Hahaha I'm cringing!

So the story behind this picture was when I was in Year 9, I had a small presentation to do independently in front of the whole class and I decided to dress up as a witch and tell my own version of Hansel & Gretel. To become the witch I went to Superdrug and bought a BLACK Rimmel lipgloss! My face looks so pale because I used a shimmery white eyeshadow across my whole face from Natural Collection!

I can't get over how weird I look! Hahaha...

The presentation went well and I got a decent grade in the end. I'm not sure if anyone who is reading this will remember but let me know if you do!

Make sure to come back next Thursday for probably another embarrassing Throwback!

Too Faced Natural Eyes Makeup Look!

  Hey guys!

This post was specially requested by my awesome aunty Peeny. Peeny and my mum both bought the Too Faced Natural Eye palette and my aunty requested that I create a makeup look for a wedding that we may be going to next week.

The Natural Eye palette has been re-created and I can definitely say it is a great improvement. I don't have the old one anymore to compare them but the although the shades are very similar, the shades in the new palette are less shimmery, smooth and very blendable.

To create this eye look, I used sellotape on the edges of my eyes to create a nice sharp line and help me create an equal shape on both eyes. I mixed Cashmere Bunny and Sexpresso in to my crease and blended outwards. On the outer corners of my eyes I used a mixture Chocolate Martini and Erotica. And across the rest of my eyelids I mixed Push-Up and Honey Pot. I took the sellotape off blended out the harsh line.
On the lower lash line I used Chocolate Martini and made it more smokey by smudging my black eyeliner in to it.

I finished off the look with winged liner - I tried it without top liner first but it wasn't dramatic enough.

On the rest of my face:

  • Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation in 200 Soft Beige
  • MAC blusher - Supercontinental
  • Lips: Maybelline Lipliner in 630 Velvet Beige all over the lips and MAC Full For You plush glass on top.

Et Voila! I hope you like this, let me know what you think!

If anyone has any requests please let me know and I shall deliver!

I'm off to watch the new X-Men film! Have a great evening/morning/day!!

Little Haul + OOTD (sort of)

It's official. My exams are over. No more stress, headache and exhaustion.. for at least a while! TLC + relaxing is much needed and why not a spot of retail therapy too. My Mum and I went shopping yesterday (yep, before my exam was over. It wasn't planned we just got a little carried away!). It was a lovely relaxing day, we went for lunch & had an awesome chilled time.

From New Look I got this crochet kimono 'thing'. It's different and I don't think I've ever owned a kimono before and I really liked it.
Sorry my clothes are all creased as I took these just as I got home from a long day!

Red T-shirt dress: H&M

I also picked up these Topshop Faux Snake slip ons.. I do think these are kinda ugly but I still like them because they are so comfy! The picture makes them look worse! These were also only £19.99.

I was pretty happy with this rucksack from New Look because I'd had my eye on it for a while when it was full price - £29.99 but I found it yesterday reduced to £15 so of course it had to be snapped up! :D

I also got a few random other things like socks but they're not really worth mentioning! ;P

Since my exams are over and I don't have to be back at college until the 10th of June, I'm pretty much a free bird for a couple weeks.. Planning on binge watching The Vampire Diaries (currently at the end of Season2) and not too sure what else  but I'm sure I'll be blogging regularly.

Ciao.

Egyptian Inspired Eyes...

**WARNING!** This blog post may contain a series of creepy eye pics.
You have been warned...!
I haven't blogged in a while due to exams which have commenced over the past two weeks.. but I will be sitting my last one on Friday *happy dance* so hopefully I can blog more frequently.

On to the makeup.. :D

I stumbled across Florence's picture on Instagram a few weeks ago and screen shotted it, knowing I wanted to re-create it. Today to de-stress a little I thought I would take some time out to try it out and blog if all went well.

This is Florence's picture on Instagram. It's just so perfect - it was love at first sight!

Here is my recreation which is nowhere near as perfect but I'm still happy with it.

The products I used are:

  • A mixture of: MAC Satin Taupe, Woodwinked and Mulch across the whole eye.

  • I've misplaced my black gel liner so I wet my Mac 209 brush and used the matte black from the Urban decay Naked 2 palette for the liner. To intensify this I went over the black eyeshadow slightly with the Bourjois felt tip eye liner pen.

  • Green colour: Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Eye pencil in 'Junkie'

  • Maybelline The Falsies Volum' express mascara

I didn't include a full face picture simply because I only tried this on one eye and also I've tanned, sunburnt and have stress spots! Thankful for this beautiful weather & exams are over soon so hopefully my skin will clear up soon!

*Fingers crossed* I'll be regularly blogging again in a couple of days.

Good luck to all my friends sitting exams

The Topshop Headband

I really couldn't think of a better title for this post, so there you have it 'The Topshop headband'. So original right?

My mum bought this gorgeous headband for me and I lav it! It's everything I could possibly ask for and more.. Ok maybe not, but It's just stunning! Totally my style. My mum knows me too well (Thanks mum! I know you'll be reading this lol)

Ever since I've had it, I've wanted to create a makeup look to match it et voila. I dug out three old eyeliner pencils from my stash

I used: 'Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen in No6 True Teal' on the outside corners of my lower lash line and also in my waterline.
Next I used Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on eye pencil in 'Junkie' on the middle of my lower lash line and right in the inside corners of my eyes I used another UD eyeliner in the shade 'Electric'.

Rest of my face:

Eyes:
MAC eyeshadows in Woodwinked and Mulch
Maybelline Gel eyeliner
Maybelline Falsies Mascara

Face: Nars Palm Beach Multiple bronzer

Lips:

MAC Hot Tahiti lipstick
MAC Full For You Plushglass.

I used a hair grip and a pin to attach the headband to my headscarf and it seemed pretty secure.
Click here for the link to the headband on the Topshop website.

I hope you're all having a great Bank Holiday weekend
